Bauer’s Granite are on display until March 22nd

Webteam · 20/02/2024 ·

Allan Bauer’s granite bowls are currently on display in the showcases at Dalgas Have.

In 2014, he began working with granite, primarily shaping it into bowls and platters. All his work is done using an angle grinder, relying on his instinct rather than precise measurements. As a result, no two bowls are identical. The process is noisy, dusty, and time-consuming.

He finds immense satisfaction in witnessing the transformation of raw, unprocessed granite into polished elegance. His goal is to cut the bowls so thin that they weigh the same as a glass or ceramic bowl. Some of these bowls even appear transparent in sunlight.

Exhibition by Kristian Bluff until February 16th

Webteam · 16/01/2024 ·

At Solbjerg Plads you can see artworks made by the artist Kristian Bluff.

Kristian is concerned with capturing light and movement on land, at sea, in cities and on body scapes. Through a lens of multiple perspectives, he invites his audience to sense and discover movement in these environments.

He feels with his eyes and am drawn to the richness of textures, nuances and how light brings life to the transient surroundings.

Watercolour, acrylics and pencil are his media choice for his expressionist works. The serendipitous character of water based media lends itself to the atmosphere he wish to evoke.
